The older I get, the more convinced I am that a posture of gratitude is key to a life of joy. God’s gifts are constant and abundant—his daily provision of life and breath far more than we deserve.

Being alert to the constancy of his gracious provision is the epitome of rightly ordered attention. That’s why Thanksgiving is such a great holiday. It’s at least one day dedicated to pausing and taking stock, giving our attention to the Giver of all good gifts.

Being alert to the constancy of God’s gracious provision is the epitome of rightly ordered attention.

But it’s a shame Thanksgiving is just one day. Because really, we should practice gratitude constantly. What if, as a start, we dedicated the whole month of November to giving thanks? What if we dedicated time each day this month to intentionally naming God’s provision and giving him thanks?

To help, I created a new playlist all about giving thanks to God. The playlist has 30 songs (one for each of November’s 30 days) expressing gratitude to God for our salvation in Christ, for the many blessings of marriage and family, and for the beauty of the earth.

You can access the playlist now on Spotify and Apple Music. Enjoy!
